The Miami Beckham United Group officially unveiled the name and logo of Miami’s fútbol club on September 5th, 2018.
Club Internacional de Fútbol Miami, also known as Inter Miami CF, is the 25th franchise of the MLS and is expected to launch in 2020.
The crest, shown above, pays homage to Miami’s Art Deco architecture and colors. The birds are great white herons and are located only in South Florida and the Florida Keys. The herons have intertwined legs which create the letter “M”. Between the herons is an eclipse with 7 rays of light, this is believed to pay tribute to David Beckham as he often wore the #7.
Team colors are black, pink and white with the Roman numerals indicating 2020, or the year the 1st season is expected to premier.
